It's sometimes pretty OK, I used something around [choking gas], [practiced stance] and flurry together with a zealous bow, a downside is that this sucks for damage.

There's just something wrong with letting the most flexible professions in the game play such a rigid build.

I use it and in many cases its a good interrupt skill combination.

The only problem I find is you have to use a short bow or at least use the skill at short range.
Use longer range and when you hit with the gas the enemy steps forward to staff/wand/spell range and gets you before you can fire again.
Short bow range is just right to keep a close group of spell casters helpless.

Many builds ignore most of the skills in Wilderness survival and build around Marksmanship expertise skills.

There is 1 preparation in Expertise 3 in Marksmanship and 5 in Wilderness survival.
Should Practised stance ever be moved to Marksmanship or Wilderness Survival it would be used a lot more.
I doubt this will happen as expertise is the logical place for such a skill.

choking gas IS pretty epic in AB of course, but that's because of the LOL factor (EEK I cant cast savannah heat NUB!!! HAX!!!! LULZ). People used it in HA in the past too if im right?

I just think this combo would be perfect for areas like RoF where there are lots of Hydras, vabbi where there can be LOTS of ruby djinn, echovold forest where churning earth and just other spells can be troublesome.

This is all from a h/h vanquishing aspect of course. I was thinking of taking out a RoJ hero for this since ruby djinns severely irritate me. I could always pain inverter, but i would rather all together avoid the damage required to power pain inverter if possible.

It used to be used in HA, but just seems to have fallen out of meta.

I'd rather use [Choking Gas] with [Incendiary Arrows] so you can spread the interrupts over a wider range. Targets in a nearby area, plus anything adjacent to each of those targets. That can shut down a mess of casters in a big hurry.

I got my first 50ish fame in HA on a Choking Gas Ranger

Build was something like this:

[Choking Gas][Practiced Stance][Seeking Arrows][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Flurry][Resurrection Signet][Fertile Season]

Not 100% sure that was the spirit.

Anyway, You ran Gas + PStance+ Flurry on monks alday then Seeking + Pstance + Savage + DShot on Altar cap maps.

The maps have since changed in HA and there is now less altar capping and there was also the addition of [Song Of Concentration] wich helped lead to the extinction of the build.

[Magebane Shot] also appeared and the simple fact that Timed Interupts > random Interupts made for more reason to call the CG build obsolite.
